Just looked up Tia & Tamera from Sister, Sister and realized that the actresses are married and have children. Somehow that makes me feel old in a way that my peer group getting married and having children does not.

“So my amazing daughter, Emma, turned 5 last month, and I had been searching everywhere for new-creative inspiration for her 5yr pictures. I noticed quite a pattern of so many young girls dressing up as beautiful Disney Princesses, no matter where I looked 95% of the “ideas” were the “How to’s” of how to dress your little girl like a Disney Princess…We chose 5 women (five amazing and strong women), as it was her 5th birthday but there are thousands of unbelievable women (and girls) who have beat the odds and fought (and still fight) for their equal rights all over the world”

Ever since this happened I’ve been dreaming about Fringe/Star Trek crossovers, to the point of assigning Fringe characters to Starfleet positions. And then I was like WELL WHY NOT JUST PHOTOSHOP IT because I don’t have boundaries. The positions are a little murky because of the constraints of finding screencaps that fit together (which is also why I didn’t include everybody, SORRY), but here are the vague assignments:
- Broyles is captain (and a Vulcan)
- Olivia is first officer
- Atlivia is chief of security, and ideally Lincoln and Charlie would be security with her because having the uniform colors correspond with Blueverse/Redverse/Amberverse is half the fun.
- Astrid is a science officer (technically she might be more suited to communications officer since I feel like a lot of what she does on Fringe is communications/translation type stuff, but I didn’t have anybody else in blue sooooo)
- Alt-Astrid is helmsman
- Peter is chief engineer
- Walter is chief science officer
- Lincoln is navigator/tactical officer
- William Bell is already Spock so whatever
- Nina is probably some Starfleet higher-up or captain of a rival ship idk
Don’t talk to me about confusion arising from having multiple versions of the same person on the bridge, THEY’RE WEARING DIFFERENT COLORS IT’S FINE
SHUT. UP.
THIS IS MAGNIFICENT.
‘Cause people seem to only post the 20-something Audrey Hepburn
this is genuinely the first photo i’ve seen of her looking older
I didn’t know Audrey Hepburn grew old into a bomb-ass old lady until like, last year. I thought she died young cuz that’s the only pictures I’ve ever seen.
omg
<3
she was also the granddaughter of a baron, the daughter of a nazi sympathizer, spent her teens doing ballet to secretly raise money for the dutch resistance against the nazis, and spent her post-film career as a goodwill ambassador of UNICEF, winning the presidential medal of freedom for her efforts.
and history remembers her as pretty.

more fanfictions about muggle-borns sneaking in pencils and calculators, and trading them illicitly, little black-market eraser dealers and “yo I got some graph paper if you wanna fuckin pass astronomy this year”
Women named Donna make badass PAs/secretaries. See:
I also recently watched a crime procedural where a secretary named Donna was secretly a serial killer.
This is like when a series of evil villains with the last name Moreau popped up on my radar: Kate Moreau from White Collar,** Sabine Moreau from MIssion Impossible, Damien Moreau from Leverage, and at least one other villain named Moreau popped up on my radar recently, I just can’t remember what it was.
Although, when I Googled it just now to see if I’d missed any, it occurs to me that maybe people opt with Moreau because it’s a reference to Island of Dr. Moreau.
*I’ve only seen 2 episodes of West Wing so far, so I’m still not actually sure what Donna’s job is but she seems to be serving as an assistant to Josh, so I assumed she falls in this category.
**Okay, so Kate wasn’t evil but fandom did speculate that she was for the longest time.
I have it to admit it greatly annoys me when fanfic is tagged “Tony/Pepper” on AO3 but actually the whole fanfic is about how Tony & Pepper break up because they are not right for each other and Tony belongs with Steve. (Or Loki. Or Bruce. Or a Mary Sue.)
Even though your fic features Tony/Pepper, it is not actually in the spirit of Tony/Pepper. Also it is a downer when I’m trying to troll the tag for my OTP.
Do I want to read this fic?
Con: it sounds like a Mary Sue (OFC found abandoned in hills of China, raised in Taoist monastery, recruited by SHIELD, eventually ends up in a relationship with Tony Stark?)
Pro: it sounds like the Mary Sue character might be a shen xian, and might incorporate shen xian into Mutant/X-men mythology, which would be cool.
Dilemma, dillema …
That’s it, now you know everything.
This has probably been done already, but oh well. I love these gals, so I wanted to share my arcane knowledge.
Everything about this is pretty much perfect.
I did not realize how many of these were supposed to be set in the same universe until this powerpoint
